    Spring Festival is my favorite. It usually comes in January or in February. It's the most important festival of the year and it is a time when all the family gets together.

    I like Spring Festival because I have lots of free time at this time of the year. I can decorate the house with beutiful lights and flowers with my mother. There is always a big meal on New Year's Eve and on New Year's Day I wear my new clothes and visit friends and relatives. I can always get red packet with money so that I can buy whatever I want. What's more, My parents often take me to watch dragon and lion dacing. It's quite a bit fun.

    There are quite a few festivals in China. Chinese New year, Winter festival, Mid-autumn festival, Qing Ming festival and others, as our old saying says: "Winter festival is bigger than the New Year", but that doesn't seem the case in true terms. To most of us, nothing is more important and exciting than our Chinese New Year, particularly to the younger children.

    In our memories, I am sure that many of us must have the experience of getting excited and the desperate wait for our Chinese New Year in a certain age of our childhood past. I was one. I remember very well how special it was during New Year's time when I was in my pre-teen and early teen years. I felt so rich with the money from the red packets, which were given to me by my parents, relatives and family friends. But unfortunately, they didn't last long because I soon gambled them away and became penniless again! (In the first few days of the New Year, even children were allowed to play game and card with real money in my hometown!).

   Those happy days have now gradually disappeared with my age and since I am living abroad in the UK for 47 years, Chinese New Year has become much less important to me than Chrismas now. Of course one of the reasons is that both my children and grandchildren were born here in the UK. They are more use to the local customs than my old ones. But to me, Chinese New year is my favourite festival of all, I shall never forget my childhood happiness and will forever treasure my wonderful past.

    There are a lot of holidays for chinese people, such as National day, May Day, etc. However, chinese people look on spring festival as their most important one of all.And it's also my favorite festival, especially when I was a child, because In those days, I could have a plenty of delicious food to eat, enjoy a very long holiday and wear beautiful clothes. And what is more important is that I could received much new year's gift money. So, everyyear, I expected the spring festival would come soon. After I grew up, it's no longer as important to me as before . For I can have my delicious food and wear my favorite clothes every day. It's like I'm having spring festival every day!

     What’s my favourite season? Let me tell you.My favourite season is spring. Spring is a lovely season, I think. There is a garden behind my house. In spring, the trees become green and the flowers give off fragrance(芳香). There are many butterflies and bees over the flowers. The butterflies are dancing and the bees are singing. Sometimes it rains. It usually rains quietly. The rain moistens(滋润) the trees and the flowers. I think they may say, “We’re very thirsty. The rain is very good.     China have a lot of festivals.My favourite festival is the spring festival.Because the spring festival is the beginning of a year.And the new year's Eve we can do our best to play.Do you like play? I think everybody likes play.We can give happy from the games.In the Eve,we can eat a reunion rice.Next day is the spring festival,we will don't eat meat and have a good day. Though it's always very cold outside,our house is never cold.All the family members get back home,and we have a big meal together.It is fun! I can play with my sisters and brothers.     The Spring Festival is a popular holiday in our country. It is in January or February. Our family get together. We have a big dinner at my grandparents’ home.
